Seneca Lake

August 15, 2020

6 days / 455 miles / Surly Cross Check

This is the trip that started my fascination with bike touring through the Finger Lakes and discovering the numerous options for camping in NY State Forests. NYS has a large amount of state land that allows primitive camping, for free with no permits or reservations necessary.

Google Maps shows most of the state forests with links to the DEC page for that state forest, but there is also an interactive map provided by the DEC along with some other useful pages.
